So instead they just quote the maximum price that they think they customer will agree to pay.
The final category that is a major cause of difficulty in a transmission recondition is the lack of proper technician training which causes the misdiagnosis of the vehicle's transmission problem. Each year there are dozens of models of vehicles produced by dozens of manufacturers. When you multiply the number of manufacturers by the number of different models it is easy to see that each year a transmission repairman must continue to learn and develop their skills.
